The new ProjectMatrix design Suite may sound like a new product, but many potential new users seem a bit confused by having ProjectSpec and ProjectSymbols as two separate products. As most of you know ProjectSpec and ProjectSymbols has always worked together along with ProjectTools. By putting the three products together as the ProjectMatrix Design Suite, new users will have a better understanding of how our products work together. We have a competitor that does the same thing. Their AutoCAD tool and their specification worksheet are sold as a single entity, but are really two separate products. ProjectSymbols, ProjectTools and ProjectSpec will always remain as separate tools, but we will show them on this site as also being bundled together under a single “umbrella” name. We will also be displaying a version of the ProjectMatrix Design Suite for each manufacturer that has product line specific ProjectTools software. As an example, we will have ProjectMatrix Design Suite for AIS, ProjectMatrix Design Suite for Haworth, and ProjectMatrix Design Suite for Teknion. Each listing will show the package of tools for each manufacturer. Why would ProjectSpec stay separate? With the ProjectMatrix site license for ProjectSpec and ProjectSymbols/ProjectTools, the design department would use the Design Suite, but accounting would use only ProjectSpec, as they have no need for an AutoCAD based design tool. ProjectSpec as a standalone tool can be used in accounting, administration, sales and sales administration, and even in shipping/receiving. The great feature this that the dealer only pays a low site license fee for unlimited use in the single dealer location. With current pricing, $2,195 annually is the most a dealer will pay for unlimited use of ProjectSpec. If a dealer has 25 total installations of ProjectSpec, the annual cost of specification is less than $88.00. Now that’s affordable! And because we don’t have hidden version upgrade charges, you know exactly what your true annual cost will be!
